CORSICA CANTABILE

Corsica Cantabile is a music festival founded by twin brothers Sacha and Hugo Pietri from Ajaccio, with the goal of sharing their passion for chamber music. The festival aims to introduce classical music to a wider audience, including those less familiar with the genre, while also supporting emerging young artists. Through this initiative, we strive to foster a deeper appreciation of classical music and create opportunities for new talent to showcase their work.

Our History

Corsica Cantabile was founded by Sacha and Hugo Pietri, two twin brothers from Ajaccio with a deep passion for chamber music. They wanted to create an event that would not only showcase the beauty of classical music but also make it more accessible to a wider audience. Since its inception, the festival has been dedicated to supporting young musicians by providing them with opportunities to perform and gain exposure. Corsica Cantabile has grown from a small, local festival into an important cultural event in the region, bringing together artists, audiences, and music lovers from all over the world.

Our Mission

Corsica Cantabile is a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing classical chamber music to broader audiences in Corsica and beyond. Created to make this rich repertoire more accessible, the festival offers a platform for cultural exchange, artistic excellence, and musical discovery. Our mission is to share the beauty of chamber music with those who may not usually encounter it and to support the growth of emerging artists.

What We Do

We organize an annual chamber music festival featuring concerts, masterclasses, and outreach events. Our work goes beyond performance—we also focus on education, artist development, and community engagement. By inviting both renowned musicians and rising stars, we create a vibrant space for artistic expression and public enrichment.

Key Activities

Corsica Cantabile’s key activities revolve around organizing our annual festival, which features a range of chamber music performances, including works from both well-known composers and lesser-known masterpieces. In addition to performances, we host workshops and educational programs for young musicians to hone their craft. We also provide opportunities for them to interact with experienced professionals, fostering a collaborative environment. Our outreach programs aim to bring classical music into communities that may not otherwise have access to such events, helping to spread the joy of music to a wider audience.

Upcoming Events

Corsica Cantabile hosts a variety of exciting events throughout the year, culminating in our annual festival. Our upcoming events include intimate chamber music performances in unique venues across Corsica, bringing world-class music to diverse audiences. We will also host a series of workshops and masterclasses for young musicians, offering them the opportunity to learn from established professionals in the field. Success Stories

One of our most inspiring success stories comes from a young violinist who performed at our festival early in her career. She has since gone on to secure several prestigious international engagements, and her experience with Corsica Cantabile played a significant role in her development as an artist. We are proud to have been a part of the journey of many such musicians, helping them to gain the exposure and experience they need to succeed.
